COMMON QUESTIONS

What is mental health coaching?

Confidential, non-clinical group coaching that follows on from training. It uses real workplace situations rather than theory, and is designed to support the people who end up carrying other people's disclosures.

Is it therapy?

No. It is non-clinical and does not replace professional support. Part of the programme is establishing clear referral pathways into clinical services when someone needs them.

Who is it for?

Hospitality professionals who have completed mental health training - particularly Mental Health First Aiders and Wellbeing Champions, plus supervisors, managers, owners and operators.

Why do we need coaching if we have already done the training?

Training builds awareness and foundational skills. Coaching is what carries people through the first real disclosure. It also protects the MHFAiders themselves, who are often the most isolated people in a wellbeing programme.

How much does it cost?

Sessions from GBP 600. As a non-profit social enterprise, our surplus funds free mental health support across the hospitality industry.

What is included?

Group coaching, scenario-based sessions, post-disclosure support, burnout prevention and boundary-setting tools, referral pathways, and digital reinforcement resources and workbooks.
