Hospitality Action found in 2025 that 90% of hospitality workers have experienced bullying or harassment, and that 60% of incidents go unreported. ACAS has put the UK-wide cost of bullying-related issues at around 18 billion pounds a year.
What is the difference between bullying and banter?
One of the central questions of the session. We work through real hospitality scenarios rather than abstract definitions, including behaviour that gets normalised as part of kitchen culture.
When does bullying become a criminal matter?
The session covers where behaviour crosses from a workplace conduct issue into legal and criminal liability, and what that means for the business.
